Poverty can be both a cause and a consequence of mental health problems in children and young people. BBC Children in Need and Maudsley Charity are both funders who wok to address the issues of poverty and mental health and we believe that the intersectionality of these issues is critical in understanding how to fund more effectively.

This event is specifically for trustees or teams within trusts and foundations, with an interest in either of these areas, who wish to ensure that their funding creates a meaningful impact. We will also be providing a summary briefing on the current context, challenges and support required.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Jen Daffin, Deputy Director of Relational Practice, Platfform
  • Prof. Craig Morgan, Director, ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health
  • Dr Sarah Hughes, CEO, Mind
  • Kamna Muralidharan, Programme Director, Impact on Urban Health
  • Khadra Abdunaser, Head of CYP Mental Health, Centre for Mental Health
  • Dr Kate Polling, Kings College London

Tuesday, 14th May 2024, 9.00am to 1.15pm (followed by lunch).

This event is free an in-person at Ortus Centre, 82-96 Grove Lane, London SE5 8SN. Registration is required via this link.
