Summary

Funders for Race Equality Alliance event is to track and examine funding which supports policy and influencing work following the new Government

Funders for Race Equality Alliance is looking to track and examine funding which supports policy and influencing work following the new Government.

We want to create a space for funders who are currently focusing on, or are looking to work with, race equality and migration organisations working on policy, influencing and research.

Together, we will discuss:
- Which organisations, groups and individuals are you funding or working with?

- What issues within policy, research and influencing are you focusing on? How long for?

- What are the main challenges and opportunities with the new Government?

- What are the gaps and what areas do we need to target?

- Navigating funder relationship with the Labour Government and how do we centre the work and voices of the race equality and migration sector.

This event came as a result of our Alliance meeting and follow up conversations with Legal Education Foundation and Paul Hamlyn Foundation. The aim of this space is also to identify a cross funder approach on how we can sustainably support work which target root causes and long-term work which we know is underinvested. And to better understand funder’s influence to advocate for lasting change.

We are pleased to be working in collaboration with Migration Exchange to develop this event and ensure we capture the intersections with migration.

Please note this is space for funders only. The agenda will sent out in the new year.
