Roundtable exploring how collaboration and coordination can improve outcomes for boys and young men
NPC and Movember are pleased to invite you to a funder roundtable on 21 October 2026 in London.
The event builds on The Invisible Field, NPC and Movember’s recent research into funding for boys and young men in the UK. The research found that, despite significant challenges across mental health, education, employment, belonging and safety, support for boys and young men is rarely recognised, funded or coordinated as a distinct field. We are now moving the conversation from insight to action, bringing together funders to explore how stronger recognition, coordination and investment could improve outcomes for boys and young men.
We are bringing together funders to explore the key themes emerging from our report and discuss how we can better support positive outcomes for boys and young men through funding, collaboration and shared learning.
Participants will be invited to join discussions on two themes most relevant to their interests and funding priorities. The topics below provide an indication of the issues we expect to explore, and we welcome suggestions for additional areas of discussion through the registration form.
- Employment, Skills and Education: School readiness, attainment, exclusions, SEND, disengagement from education, and pathways into secure and meaningful work.
- Mental Health: Mental health distress, barriers to help-seeking, prevention, early intervention and wellbeing.
- Safety and Digital Harms: Loneliness, belonging, masculinity norms, physical and digital safety, harmful online content, violence and exploitation.
- Relationships and Belonging: Family relationships, fatherhood, healthy masculinities, mentoring and positive role models.
The roundtables are designed as a confidential space for funders to share perspectives, explore opportunities and challenges, and identify areas where greater collaboration or coordinated action may be valuable.
NPC and Movember will use the discussions to understand where the strongest opportunities lie and what practical steps could help grow support for boys and young men.
