Aims and activities
We’re the Merchant Taylors’ Foundation, a place-based funder aiming to tailor brighter futures with local communities.
We’re in discussions with Citizens Advice about funding face-to-face advice for 5 years in a particularly under-served area of Lewisham. Local residents will be trained as volunteer advisors.
The aims of the collaboration are to co-fund this work in order to:
- help local people in that area to access specialist skills and advice, which is a key part of our theory of change
- test the advice model, to identify key factors for Citizens Advice being able to replicate it elsewhere
How to get involved
We would love to hear from trusts and foundations interested in knowing more about co-funding this chance to make an innovative move in place-based funding.
