Aims and activities

Turn2us is a grant-making charity that partners with residents and community organisations to design solutions to tackle financial insecurity. We know that communities hold the key to understanding the best way to end poverty in their areas.

This place-based programme seeks to understand and challenge the stigma and shame of poverty by encouraging and sustaining community participation and advocacy. Our work to date has worked alongside local partners and residents in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham wards of Parsloes, Eastbury and Chadwell Heath (in Marks Gate).

Our goal is to build a strong partnership between residents, local communities and key decision makers to create longer-term transformational change where no-one is left behind.
