Aims and questions
Aims and activities
We aim to bring together a community of practice to explore and improve approaches to employing and involving people with lived and living experience in social impact organisations. Building on the learning from our Peer Learning Group, we want to:
- Share practical case examples and solutions around fair pay, wellbeing, safe spaces, and ethical recruitment
- Support funders to embed good practice in grant conditions and processes
- Co‑create a collective sense of progress, with shared norms and guidance
- Encourage funder reflection on data practices like DEI standards and lived experience metrics
How to get involved
Funders can in the first instance join our launch event (date to be announced). We will then look to co design follow‑on events and facilitate further ways to be involved, such as :
- A learning community online
- Space to share case studies or challenges
- Suggestions on topics for future, peer‑facilitated, sessions
To register interest and be involved, please contact Genevieve Ford‑Saville, Funding Manager at Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, at genevieve.ford‑saville@esmeefairbairn.org.uk
