Aims and questions

The Greater Manchester Funders Forum exists to enable independent grant makers, social investors and public sector funders to collaborate and coordinate programmes.

It was established during the COVID-19 crisis as both national and local funders in Greater Manchester urgently came together to share intelligence, perspective and understanding.

The Forum additionally encourages and supports the collaboration and alignment of work to prevent duplications and ensure support is available where it is needed.

Aims:

  • Provide the opportunities to share intelligence, perspectives and understanding of need
  • Enable greater alignment of plans and therefore more strategic investment and impact
  • Reduce unintentional duplication and gaps
  • Attract additional resources into Greater Manchester

We meet to listen to speakers and members have the opportunity to share their experiences. The idea is to make connections, build a picture of the funding landscape and share information and intelligence.

Thea Monk
Chair of the Greater Manchester Funders Forum
