Aims and activities

Aims and questions

Aims and activities

We aim to:

  • Address critical skills shortages in a range of conservation specialisms, including but not exclusively those identified in Icon’s Skills Strategy (published in 2023)
  • Increase the strategic collective impact of small trusts and foundations who have a shared interest in supporting the development of conservation skills, and to encourage other funders to join
  • Demonstrate good practice and impact through the funder collaboration.

How to get involved

We are currently funding internships in three subject areas : books and archival materials, musical instruments and horological and scientific instruments.

We would welcome other like-minded funders to join our existing group of funders.

You can contact Sue Bowers, Director of the Pilgrim Trust on sue@thepilgrimtrust.org.uk, or any of the other current funders mentioned below, to discuss this further.
