Aims and activities

Camden Giving brings together residents, local businesses, funders, and civic partners to tackle inequality in Camden. Through participatory grantmaking, we fund and support grassroots and community-led initiatives that address deep-rooted inequities that bring about long-term, sustainable change. Our two flagship programmes – The Equality Fund and We Make Camden Kit – offer flexible funding, resources, and collaboration opportunities that place power in the hands of residents with lived experience.

The Equality Fund

Provides larger, flexible funding to organisations working to reduce structural inequality in Camden – particularly focusing on racial justice and disability inclusion. It offers space, support, and resources for grassroots leaders (often previously seed-funded) to develop long-term, sustainable solutions. Grant decisions are made by a panel of Camden residents with lived experience, ensuring funding reaches where it's needed most.

We Make Camden Kit

A bold partnership supporting small-scale, citizen-led action across Camden. Through grants of up to £2000 & £5000, it funds local residents and small organisations delivering projects that align with Camden’s four missions:

  • Access to Food for All
  • Opportunities for Children and Young People
  • Diversity in Positions of Power
  • Sustainable Neighbourhoods

Residents decide where the funding goes. We provide support, mentoring, and resources to bring ideas to life.

How to get involved

We’re inviting funders, civic organisations, and businesses who believe in shifting power and tackling inequality to join us.
