Aims and activities
Regional Funds aim to amplify local philanthropy by leveraging Big Give’s proven match funding model at a regional level. The goal is to direct funding to charities within specific areas, ensuring local causes benefit from the power of nationally coordinated campaigns and helping to address regional disparity in funding.
By acting as a Regional Champion, funders can ring-fence their contributions for their chosen region, doubling public donations and inspiring greater generosity. This multiplier effect often unlocks four to five times the original value, creating significant impact for local communities and amplifying the impact of funding.
Regional Funds foster collaboration between funders, charities, and the public, driving a culture of collective giving. Ultimately, the aim is to strengthen regional resilience, support trusted local organisations, and maximise the value of every pound committed - delivering measurable, long-term benefits for organisations in local communities.
