NPC Funder & Philanthropist Drop-In

In recent years, trust-based approaches to grant-making have gained traction. Funders are looking to support organisations in more flexible and less onerous ways – this raises questions for evaluation and learning practices. We’ve been doing some thinking about what proportional, equitable and useful monitoring, evaluation and learning should look like in practice, such as getting the basics right around clarity of purpose and transparency, building mutual accountability between funders and grant-holders, and widening the learning lens beyond existing grant-holder relationships.

Join Claire Gordon, NPC Principal Consultant for Funder Evaluation & Learning, to find out about our thinking so far and our plans for a framework and toolkit for funders.

Please note that these drop ins are for philanthropists and staff or trustees at grant-making organisations only.
